يعد حلقة الوصل بين الفكر التربوي والممارسات التربوية، وهو تصور أو رسم تخططي للمنهج بوصفه عملية، حيث يصف المصادر المعتمدة في تطوير المنهج، وتسلسل عناصره والعلاقات بينها، وهو بالتالي وسيلة تساعد في تخطيط المنهج وتنفيذه وتقويمه.
