The continuing decline in house prices in Britain

Bank of Halifax mortgage finance on Monday that house prices in Britain fell in December the highest annual rate since more than a year but is expected to be limited movement of prices during the current year. 

The index fell for the Halifax house prices 1.3 percent last month after falling 0.2 percent in October / November. Thus, house prices fell in the three months to December compared with 1.6 percent a year earlier, the biggest decline since November 2009. 

According to the Halifax, prices have fallen 3.4 percent in December from a year earlier, making the average home price of 162 thousand and 435 pounds.
