Turkey to prevent fast food in schools

A Turkish Health Ministry decision to prevent the sale of soft drinks and fast food in primary schools in an effort to combat obesity in children.

The Ministry of Health of Turkey to prevent the sale of soft drinks and fast food meals in primary schools from the 2011 2012 school year. The Minister of Health Recep Okdag saying that "obesity has become epidemic over the past 15 years, and we first stopped and then the heart of verse." 
He pointed out that it is expected to produce the government's program to combat obesity through the next four years, make significant progress expected by the year 2023. Okdag said, "We plan to reduce the rate of obesity from 33% to less than 30% within 4 years."
