School dropout and the use of moral and physical punishment by teachers against students

Use of moral and physical punishment by teachers for students is one of the Important reason to students dropping out of school.

It is not easy to have a classroom with 20 or 30 children, being able to maintain balance and harmony in the class so that all students attend and learn can be difficult at times.

Each student has their own idiosyncrasy and it is wrong for a teacher to try to make the students adapt to the way they work, ideally the teacher should spend time getting to know his students and determine the classes depending on the interests and of the needs of the children in the classroom.

Sometimes teachers when they have the classroom with students who distort it, who have disruptive behavior or who do not want to work, sometimes use punishments to improve the balance of the classroom, but this sometimes has mistakes and successes that are worth remembering to use this strategy properly.

Punishments at school can be misused when a teacher ignores the student and only wants to reestablish classroom harmony by eliminating misbehavior instantly. This is a problem that will be dealt with again in the long term because even if behavior is eliminated in the moment, if the behavior is not modified and the reason for the misconduct is found out, the punishments are simply educational patches. A punishment will be a mistake when:
1- When you only want to eliminate the misconduct to reestablish the class.
2- When the student is not taken into account.
3- When there is no discussion after the reason for the punishment with the student or students involved.
4- When punishments are used indiscriminately because the teacher feels overwhelmed by situations.
5- When you do not look for the real origin of the problem.
6- When long-term measures are not taken.
