Marine Insurance is the first insurance images visible in Egypt, like other countries of the world, where systems of its provisions codify maritime trade, issued in 1883 ([1]). Accordingly issued several consecutive legislation governing work-related accidents and occupational diseases and other social risks . And Act No. 652 of 1955 concerning the regulation of compulsory insurance of liability arising from motor vehicle accidents . And released - Also - Law No. 78 of 1982 on compulsory insurance Incidents of elevators, and Law No. 106 age e 1976, as amended regarding the compulsory insurance of construction work accidents.
([1]) Maritime trade law was issued on Nov. 13, 1883, then was replaced by Law No. 8 of 1990 Promulgating the Law on maritime trade was organized maritime insurance provisions in the articles (340-400).
( 2]) Issued several laws regulating the issue of supervision and control over insurance starting from Law No. 92 of 1939 through laws numbers to 256 in 1950, and Law No. 23 of 1957, Law No. 195 of 1959 and others, and finally Law No. 10 of 1981.
The legislation is currently being prepared especially the privatization of the insurance companies.
