Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Mohammed Ali (1863 -1879 AD)
Ismail bin Ibrahim was appointed ruler of Egypt set Soltani. It was Ismail had been educated partly in Europe and Engage administrative positions earn it political experience. Represents a shift of his prominent role in the history of Egypt. Ismail was confident the Europeans would like to transform Egypt into a country with a European character. So sought to obtain a range of independence from the Ottoman Sultan. * Increased military personnel.
* Won the title of "Khedive" from the Sultan.
* The formation of a parliament (Parliament).
* Established municipalities in the cities.
* Interested in agriculture and farmers, irrigation, transportation, telecommunications engaged.
* As well as the establishment of printing presses and newspapers, one of the greatest achievements of the Suez Canal.
