Semi-arid areas in the Arab world.. Balqa Heights, Yemen, Asir Mountains and the Sahara Atlas in Algeria and Green Mountain in southern Libya and Iraq's Kurdistan

- Semi-arid areas are the areas adjacent to the wetland areas of the east and south, and these areas receive between 150-600 mm. 

- These areas suffer from water shortages, especially in the dry season and include north and west of Syria and northern Jordan until Heights Balqa Heights Yemen and Asir mountains in Saudi Arabia also include South Sudan, with the exception of the wet area in addition to the Atlas Sahara in Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and Green Mountain in Libya South Kurdistan and Iraq.
